"Wherever the brothers are… they must provide respect and esteem to each other (Sao Francisco de Assis) ―Having such a wise reference I will try, in a short paragraph, to provide a thankful testimonial for someone that fully deserves it. ―Ever since my youth (more than 50 years ago…) I have been using prosthesis in my lower jaw. As time went by, my gum became more eroded and the problem got worse. Back then, the Brazilian Dentistry did not offer any other alternatives. “I would like to register a little bit of my story and to provide a testimonial on how some people are gifted by God to help us out on difficult times. Ever since my childhood I have had a dental issue that, somehow, changed my facial format. I have worn braces, I have made exodontias (some too early), in a time in which dentistry did not offer as much resources as today. Finally, in adulthood, I started to wear fixed prosthesis which, as time went by, always needed to be repositioned. I was afraid of swallowing the prosthesis at sleep and I could not find any solution for that. The alternatives back then were not feasible especially due to the aesthetics side.
On a certain day, my parents decided to get implants and went to Dr. Veit’s Clinic. I was positively surprised by the results and decided to set an appointment to get an evaluation of my case. I was very sensitive and received exceptional warmth from all the staff, from the front desk to Dr. Veit. The humanity of this place is a point of differentiation – and there is not training for such a thing, it is simply due to the staff’s profile.
I chose to move forward with the treatment recommended by Dr. Veit, who clarified any doubts about the post-surgery stage, the timeframe until the permanent implant and potential risks. The peculiar way he treats us gave me the confidence I needed at that moment. He worries about all the details. So besides having all the adequate physical facilities, there is also humanity behind it, and that was what helped me during my recovery. After one year I was dismissed and free to go. Besides the aesthetic improvement, I had no longer the need of using nasal decongestants (I used to have a respiratory problem and continuously used this drug).
